I've come over all crafty.
The tickets for our European holiday have been bought bringing excitement and a looming panic attack. So, instead of worrying about the children's 1. behaviour on the flight(s) 2. safety in unknown countries 3. attention span at the Louvre or 4. warmth (what clothes do I pack?) I have decided to busy myself at the sewing machine.
I had a very rewarding trip to Funky Fabrix last week where these gorgeous fabrics were purchased:
This one for Jules...
And this one for me....
Combined with matching large zippers and some trusty calico...
....I plan to make some bags for undies and socks for each of us to keep our smalls organised and neat in our suitcases. I can control that. I can plan for that. Everything else is in the 'unknown' basket at this stage *breathes into paperbag*.
I couldn't find the right one for Rod when in the shop but have been looking on line and think maybe this one or possibly this. Then there's this. It's hard because his tastes are simple.
It's keeping me busy. This is good.
