And I find myself in Blogland. So much happens in a day that things are being forgotten. The details are being left with the situation, time moves on, focus shifts and that pocket of time and space is lost. I’m hoping to capture some moments here and box some memories for the future, it seems the only thing to do until a Flux Capacitor comes up on eBay.
I have two children (Tom 4 ½ and Juliet 2 ½) both of whom are acting their age at the moment in text book fashion. Tom starts school in February and is so ready for more stimulation, I just can’t keep him occupied. Juliet has showed us some spectacular tantrums (what was I thinking when I tried to team up a Winnie the Pooh pyjama top with an Upsy Daisy bottom? Call the fashion police).
To get them out of the house the other day I planned a lighthouse adventure. Oh, the build up, oh the excitement. The colouring pages, the discussions, the googling... the long drive...
Hmmm.
‘Why is it green, Mum?’.
And I thought it would be bigger. Cleveland’s old, miniature lighthouse. Under repair.
Well, I suppose we’ll come back in... what does that say?... 2009.
BUT, we got out of the house on a beautiful day in sunny Brisbane.
Not bad for the dead of winter.
That’s Stradbroke Island over there. Maybe a boat ride can fill in another day until school starts.....
