Such a busy week last week what with visiting friends in luxury resorts, the usual daycare/school days, a fantastic and fruitful trip to IKEA and going to great lengths to get Tom into school next year. Huge week.
I thought it was time to update you on a few stories I've posted to nest so far. There have been a few developments...
1. Lighthouse.
Well this was my first post and at that stage I really didn't know how much of my time would be required to maintain a blog. It really is something I enjoy so have decided to spend my time on it, while the dust bunnies grow in size and number under the furniture... one day to take over and RULE THE WORLD.
Anyway, we went back to Cleveland lighthouse just last week and nothing has changed. It's still under renovation. What has changed though is the presence of a GIANT pirate ship that's being built next to it for the next Nania movie.
Its HUGE!
I didn't have my camera with me so these pictures came from here. Really very exciting to see, and gives you something else to look at when you're expecting a large working lighthouse.
2. Mint Julep.
Rod and I stayed at the Emporium Hotel for a night on our wedding anniversary (#7) this year KID FREE. It has a great bar with an extensive cocktail list. The cocktail dude (for he was) was a mixin' and a shakin' just near where we were sitting so I took the liberty of asking him how he might prepare a mint julep. He lets about 8 mint leaves steep in 60 ml of bourbon for 10- 15 mins (wouldn't want to be thirsty) then mixes in 20 ml sugar syrup and pours over crushed ice. 60 ML! 8 LEAVES! This one's for the bourbon drinkers, not for me. I'll stick to my concoction, thanks.
3. Yes, weelly.
And as for the first half of this, yes, Jules is still in night nappies. As for the second half (shudder), this.
